General Terms and Conditions
1. Scope
These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between the Hohe Warte Study Centre and participants in programmes and events.
2. Cooperative programmes and hierarchy of regulations
For programmes carried out in cooperation with national or international partner universities, the relevant study, examination and quality guidelines of the partner university shall apply in addition. For academic matters (e.g. examinations, assessments, final decisions), these regulations take precedence over these General Terms and Conditions.
3. Registration and admission
Registration constitutes a binding contractual offer. The contract is concluded upon confirmation. In the case of cooperative programmes, the execution of the contract may be subject to formal admission by the partner university and the acceptance of additional university-specific conditions.
4. Fees and terms of payment
The amount of the fees is determined by the currently valid fee schedule. At least 25% of the total fee is due within 14 days. Without timely payment, there is no entitlement to participation or platform access. Discounts for early full payment only apply if payment is made in full and on time. If the deadline is missed, the discount will be retroactively cancelled. Completion of the programme requires full payment of all fees due.
5. Implementation of teaching
The Hohe Warte Study Centre provides teaching staff and organises the implementation of the courses. Teaching takes place in cooperative programmes in accordance with the curricular requirements and quality standards of the respective partner university.
6. Examinations and awarding of degrees
Examination procedures, assessment criteria and progression rules are based on the specifications of the partner university. Academic degrees, certificates and diplomas are awarded exclusively by the respective partner university.
7. Academic integrity
Participants undertake to adhere to academic integrity. Violations (e.g. plagiarism, deception) will be dealt with in accordance with the procedures and sanctions of the partner university.
8. Use of digital systems
Learning and administration platforms may be used for implementation. Access data must be treated confidentially. Participants are responsible for meeting the minimum technical requirements.
9. Copyright
All materials provided are protected by copyright and may only be used for personal study purposes.
10. Data protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. For cooperative programmes, necessary data may be transferred to partner universities to the extent necessary for admission, study administration, examinations and final documentation.
11. Liability
The provider is only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence. No liability is assumed for academic decisions made by partner universities (e.g. admission, assessment, graduation).
12. Final provisions
Changes must be made in writing. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The place of jurisdiction for entrepreneurs is Vienna; for consumers, the statutory provisions apply.
